Terms of use
Effective 20 October 2026
The English and Spanish versions say the same thing and are equally valid.
TidyPlace is an app for sharing household chores as a family. These terms are the few rules that let it work well for everyone. We’ve kept them short.
1. Who we are
TidyPlace is provided by NeonGate LLC (“NeonGate”), a Wyoming limited liability company based in Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, United States. You can reach us at contact@neongate.co or through the contact form in the app. TidyPlace is free: it has no ads and no in-app purchases.
2. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using TidyPlace, you accept these terms. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the app. How we handle your data is explained in our privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
3. Who can use TidyPlace
- You must be at least 13 to create an account.
- If the age to agree to this on your own is higher where you live (in the European Union it can be up to 16), you need permission from a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.
- If a minor uses the app, a parent or guardian should supervise that use.
4. Your account
- One person, one account. Everyone in a household uses their own account. Don’t share your account or create one for someone else without their permission.
- Keep your password safe. You’re responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else has got in, change your password and let us know.
- Give us a real email address you can access: we use it to confirm your account and to help you recover your password.
5. Households
- Each household has an owner and may have admins and members. The owner and admins manage the household: for example, its rooms, tasks and rewards, and who belongs to it. They can remove members.
- You can leave a household at any time. What happens to your data when you do is explained in the privacy policy.
- You can delete your account in the app, under Settings → Delete account. If you own a household where other people live, you first need to hand ownership to someone else or delete the household, so it isn’t left without anyone to manage it.
- Disagreements within a household are for the family to sort out. We can’t take sides in them.
6. Your content
What you write in TidyPlace — room names, task names, reward names and chat messages — is yours. You’re responsible for it. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people you share it with, only so the app can work. We don’t use it for anything else.
7. What’s not allowed
When using TidyPlace, you agree not to:
- harass, threaten, bully or insult other people, including in the chat;
- post illegal content, or content that is hateful, sexual or violent;
- send spam or use the app for advertising;
- pretend to be someone else;
- try to get into other people’s accounts or households, or to access data that isn’t yours;
- try to break, overload or get around the app’s security, or reverse-engineer it to do so;
- use the app for anything that breaks the law.
If someone breaks these rules, NeonGate may remove the content involved and suspend or close the account, depending on how serious it is. If you see something that breaks them, write to us.
8. Points and rewards
- Points and rewards have no monetary value. They can’t be bought, sold or exchanged for money, and they are lost if you leave the household or delete your account.
- Rewards are agreed within the family. NeonGate is not a party to those agreements and isn’t responsible for whether a reward is given.
9. The app as it is
We work to keep TidyPlace useful and reliable, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”, without guarantees. In particular:
- The app may be unavailable at times, for example for maintenance or because of a fault.
- The app can work offline; changes made without a connection are sent when you’re back online, and there may be a delay until everyone sees them.
- Notifications and reminders may arrive late or not at all, because they depend on your phone, its settings and outside services. Don’t rely on TidyPlace for anything where a missed reminder could cause harm.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, NeonGate is not liable for indirect losses, or for losses caused by the app being unavailable, by delayed or missing notifications, by lost data, or by what other users write or do. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer.
11. Changes
We may change, improve or remove features of TidyPlace. We may also update these terms: we’ll publish the new version here with a new date and, if the change is important, let you know in the app or by email before it applies. If you keep using the app after that, you accept the new terms.
12. Ending your use
You can stop using TidyPlace and delete your account whenever you want. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we may stop offering the service; if we do, we’ll try to give reasonable notice.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and the applicable federal laws of the United States, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.

Nosotros no podemos tomar partido.
6. Tu contenido
7. Lo que no está permitido
Al usar TidyPlace te comprometes a no:
- acosar, amenazar, intimidar ni insultar a otras personas, tampoco en el chat;
- publicar contenido ilegal, o que sea de odio, sexual o violento;
- enviar spam ni usar la app para hacer publicidad;
- hacerte pasar por otra persona;
- intentar entrar en cuentas u hogares ajenos, o acceder a datos que no son tuyos;
- intentar romper, saturar o esquivar la seguridad de la app, ni desmontarla para hacerlo;
